Why do predators always seem to get your favorite hens?

We got the bobble-heads from www.yardlover.com. The head moves with the wind. They've been a great deterent to hawks. They are on sale now: http://www.yardlover.com/rotating-head-owl-decoy (We paid $30/each for 3 of them.)

Green is doing well. She seems to be sore; she moves a bit more slowly than the rest of the flock. We've found 2 sets of puncture wounds. One under her wing and the other on her back. By the time she got back home, both were scabbed up. We will keep checking the wounds, but as long as there is no blood or weeping, I think we will just let them heal on their own. I hoping the rooster leaves her alone for a while and we don't have to separate her from the rest of the flock. Thank you everyone for your well wishes. We know we were very fortunate to get her back.
