Why do some topics completely disappear?

I have seen a few topics just disappear into thin air. What's up with that? Can't ya just lock it?

it may just be the oh so spooky BYC ghosy chicken who comes and gobbles up strange posts.....and poof! it is gone!

When they disappear it is for good reason. Our moderators here work hard to keep this a family friendly place and sometimes just locking a thread still leaves undesireable information to be read. Why don't you PM one of the mods?

I believe it is against the rules to question their judgement - I know that is not what you did, but for those who wish to respond to my post - you've been warned
