My duck decided today that she doesnt want to be an aylesbury mix anymore, and did her best to disguise herself. Sadly once she got in the water her new markings washed away :(

photos below 🤣

I wish I could understand why this happens, but I guess they just love making mud 🤣

Because she is a duck being a duck. They have no idea what the word clean means, or if they do they don't care. :lau
My girls think theyre very clean! They like to preen themselves lovely and clean, all while they stand in the muddy poop puddle they create for themselves 🤣 They keep me on my toes, I clean the pen every morning, clean pool water poop cleared, ground as dry as possible, then they go out, and within seconds its a mess 🤣 I love seeing them have fun

She's so cute. 🥰
Their desire to play is more intense than their desire to be clean.
true words! I've always heard "ducks being messy" used as a reason not to get them, but tbh I love watching them splash and hunt for bugs, they're just so entertaining.
I have an entire collection of muddy Dougie photos now 🤣

Oh my, Sprightly is at it too! Usually she's the cleaner of the two, but I guess Dougie taught her the joys of mud. They managed to empty the pool. Two photos, same duck 🤣
