Why do they do this?

I have a small backyard flock, every morning the australorpes lay in the same spot then my B. rocks and buff orps get really loud as to say hurry up so I can sit there?

Why do they do this, they could easly sit in a different spot? I've hear that cochins are quieter? Is this true for the standards and bantams?

My birds do that all them time. I believe it is normal. Anyway it doesn't do any harm to them. I wouldn't worry.

My cochin is virtually silent except for when she's laid an egg, which is about every other day.

The Polish are neurotic screechers.

The Buff Orp just walks about going "brrrraaawk" all the time.

BAs are VERY chatty.

The rest are occasional cluckers, though the BSL makes a heck of a lot of noise when anyone lays an egg.

As for your neighbors, grease the skids with free eggs from time to time and all will be well.
