Why do they still cuddle even when it's so hot??

I've got 3 15-week old cuties who insists on snuggling together (with me too! ) in a pile even when it's hot out and they are panting. Seems like it's counter-intuitive since the cuddling gotta be making then even more hot!

Aw yeah it's very heartwarming and one of the things I love most about having chickens. I worked really hard since the very beginning when they were itty bitty and it's paid off!
Although I'm more curious about WHY on earth the cuddle when it's hot!

I think chickens are a little crazy and I don't know why they do the things they do.
