I have ducks because I finally live somewhere that we hope to be sticking around for a while (military family) and we have the room to not annoy neighbors when the girls get too noisy.
We use their eggs (I haven't bought eggs since December) and I use their nasty water on the garden. They are more useful in tangible things than the dogs are lol
They are relaxing. I enjoy just sitting there and watching them.
Lately, even DH has been laughing at them when we sit next to their pond to watch them.
