I wasn’t hoping for roosters, but got them from SR. Also, Ideal sent me a bunch of cockerels as packing peanuts.

We have a rooster for all the above reasons. Even though we've threatened to send him to freezer camp, Sometimes he has gotten overly protective of his girl's. But we still love our roo.

For breeding purposes, protecting the flock and because I bought straight run at TSC and got surprised and also the breeder where I bought my others doesn’t sell her roosters but gives them away for free so I ended up with a little ameraucana roo, a wellsommer roo, a black orpington roo and this beautiful fellow here is out blue Orpington roo! Sorry for the blurry pic. Sucks because I know I can’t keep all the Roos I’ll end up with once they are bigger
