why does it turn purple?

latly my chicks hadn't been feeling well, so i got duramyacin and put it in their waterers, the anibiotics made it yellow. i keep one waterer inside the cop and one outside, and i changed the water yesterday, and the outdoor water turned purple, is there anything wrong?

Never had to use antibiotics yet, so no clue! Sorry!

it could be a reaction with the medication... some meds cant be exposed to direct sunlight

Yes I would and try and not put it in direct sunlight...

can you maybe mix a 1/2 batch of the meds so they are not wasted if they go purple again

Maybe iron in the water? or maybe its in a metal container with rust? Good luck
