Why does my Black Frizzle Cochin Bantam sleep on the floor still?

My silkie will roost with the other about 3-1/2 ft off the ground about 50/50. Its my black frizzle cochin that NEVER roosts up with the others. I tried low roost, but still nope. He/she prefers a corner of the coop. After talking with RockerHen last night I made a new nest/roost box on the floor in the corner for that little guy this am. Ill see if he sleeps in it tonight.

I have 14 week old bantams, assorted, raised together from chicks. They still sleep in a pile in a corner of the coop. They have no trouble hopping up on the two roosts I've made for them. Three are silkies that I don't expect to roost, but the others?

Also, what kind of a roost do folks suggest for bantams? I have a 2X3 with rounded sides for the top roost and am trying a 2 inch diameter tree branch for the lower. What is best?

P.S. I'm new to chickens this year and I am totally, entirely in love!

I'm a newbie with chickens also. I have a mix of bantams and standard sized. My chickens use a landscaping timber to roost on. Its pretty wide so they sit on their feet. That way in the winter hopefully no frost bite toes. They don't seem to mind it. Before that they were roosting on a 2 x 4 on the big flat side.
