Why does my chick hate me???

i hope!!!! i had this one chick that would follow me......id put him on the flor walk two steps he'd run to my foot and so on.....to bad he died... he was 3.... i think he thought i was his mom cause he was soo sweet and never crowed!!! he was a RIR

If they will ever be outside free ranging, or even in an open-top run, you want them to retain some of their instinctive fear. They will be prey from on the ground and from the air. They are correct in fearing a large animal (us) coming at them from overhead. Once they are in larger surroundings and you are not coming at them from overhead, they will warm up to the giver of food.

i sneak from the top and when i put my hand down they are crazy!!
