I was hatching bantam Cochins and one of them did not make it, but it had an air sack on its wing, and I was wondering why? I’ve never had this happen before

How does this happen like is it something I did?
No I don't think it's something you could have done.

A ruptured air sac is usually small tear in an air sac causing it to inflate and not function properly. This can occur for a number of reasons. Since it happened with a hatching chick, the air sac may have torn or was damaged somehow during the struggle of hatching, or it could have been a developmental problem where the air sac was not formed correctly.
