??????why does my largemouth bass spit back out the rosy reds?????????

i got some rosy red feeder fish today from walmart. my largemouth catchs them and then spits them back out. why?

How big is your bass? It could be that they are too larget o fit down his throat.

he is about 6 inches.

It could be that he first needs the taste and aroma of the feeder fish before he makes his feeding move.

How did you catch your bass? If you caught it with a hook, it may be injured internally. "Anti Wal-Mart" bass are a known entity. No one is messing with you.

I think he will eat when he is ready and NOT when you are ready.

I'd put some small Guppies in there and just be patient
