Why does my pigeon grab my finger?

Hey y'all so Ive had a male pigeon for almost a year now he's my only one and my first one and he does this weird thing where he grabs my finger and shakes his head but like kinda vibrates it. It's really strange and I have absolutely no idea wut he's doing

I used to dog sit a pair of mini-pins and the boy would run up and hump my leg (or my arm if I was sitting down). Disgusting. I'd never have a boy dog of my own (or boy animal in general) Chickens are the exception of course but in general, forget it.

He's trying to feed you as he would a hen pigeon. It means he is bonded to you as his mate. I have a female. She sticks her face between my fingers as if expecting me to feed her.
