Why does my pullet have her tail down?

Thought I'd update this thread. Gertrude went on to have a very good, productive life, following me around all the time. Her tail never changed. She molted and it grew back in just the same. Unfortunately, a raccoon got her one night last fall.

Sorry about your girl…these little heartbreakers! I’m trying to look for remedies for my pullet with a tail down.

Hope you'll figure it out. Sometimes, like my hen, it's a birth defect, which didn't stop her from being a normal chicken.
