at a guess? The Roost in the coop buts the bird up higher where it is now exposed to a draft which had been above its head last year, when it was on the floor.

W/o seeing your coop, however, that guess is just that - rampant speculation based on two data points which may, or may not, be relevant. Check your window heights.
