why does my silkie rooster love to stare at my toes?

hes about a year old and whenever were sitting at the table or anywhere for that matter, he stares at my toes or her toes and just stays there. occasionally hell peck lightly at them. but hell just sit there for about 20 minutes staring at them until i decide to walk somewhere? what is his fascination with feet?

I'm not sure, but I've always believed that the chickens are trying to figure out if they're edible. I had a RIR hen try to take off one of my fingers the other day while I was refilling my bird suet containers!
