I brought home a baby chick and tried to introduce it to the older one but it tried to eat it, or that's what it seemed like. The chicken, who acts like a rooster sometimes, kept trying to attack it with its feathers all ruffled up like its fighting. Does it think its food? Or is this a domination thing because it's new?

Same thing kinda happened to us.
Some chickens with try and kill a chick you might wanna keep it inside until it has all its feathers, can keep warm at night and is able to defend itself

It's never a good idea to mix birds of vastly disparate sizes. The larger will almost always peck the smaller, oft times to the point of serious injury and even death. Keep them separate until the younger is about 16 weeks old.

I keep the baby inside but tried to see how they would get along. I guess not too well. That particular chicken is domineering anyway.
