I have a cat who has to use the litter box as soon as I start scooping litter. Every time. I look around, don't see the cat and start scooping. She comes out of nowhere and jumps in to pee. So I go upstairs to clean another box, and she runs in to poop!

Why do they do that?

Because cats are evil and want to drive you crazy

Wait maybe that is just my cats? Either way I feel your pain

And on he bright side of things now that they have peed and pooed in the box while you are cleaning it you can scoop that out and they will wait at least 5 more minutes before they can poo and pee again

I think she does it to drive me crazy!

MetalSmitten, I hear you there! I had a cat with renal failure, you could tell when she wasn't feeling good because she wouldn't use the box. She would pee right beside it. And I wish she was still here to pee beside the box... She passed away almost a year and a half ago, if she was still alive she would have been 10 this year. But you'd think if this cat was putting her marker back, she would wait until I'm done!

I take the box out of their deck area to clean, but one will pee right after I put the boxes back in. She will go as I'm cleaning if I do the one inside first. The other just doesn't care.
