It’s a blood ring. Here is one of my recent ones. Looks very similar.
This was a day 6 too, I believe.

Sorry.Thank you
Since phoenix’s are exotic and kinda pricey I put it in there anyways. I’m sure though that the crack wasn’t the cause of the blood ring.It could've killed the chick, because to me the chick looks dead, I would throw it out.
You can't ever be SURE that a crack didn't kill the chick because I've tried to hatch loads of eggs with cracks like yours and they would make it for like a week.Since phoenix’s are exotic and kinda pricey I put it in there anyways. I’m sure though that the crack wasn’t the cause of the blood ring.
Oh my gosh why do you even care so much about a crack? I was asking about the blood ring and so far everybody has been focused on crack instead of the blood ring. If I wanted to start a conversation on cracks in eggs I’m incubating, I would’ve posted about that instead. It’s my eggs and I’m sorry if it offends you that I put an egg in the incubator with a tiny fricken crack. You can't ever be SURE that a crack didn't kill the chick because I've tried to hatch loads of eggs with cracks like yours and they would make it for like a week.
It couldve been smart to write that beforehand, if i saw a crack on a egg im of course going to let the person know.I’ve been incubating 2 phoenix eggs along with a few other eggs and this is day 6 of incubation. I candled them at day 3 and both the phoenix eggs looked fine and healthy with small veins. I candled them today and one of them looks like this. I have never seen this before. What is it, what causes it, and will the chick still hatch?
EDIT: Listen I came on here in regards of the blood ring, not the crack in the shell. I’m very aware of the crack. Phoenix’s are exotic and expensive and I only had 2 eggs so I was gonna incubate them anyways. So please just answer my questions and stop criticizing me for the fricken crack in the shell.
It’s just annoying how people think I’m that dumb to not see the crack that’s obviously thereIt couldve been smart to write that beforehand, if i saw a crack on a egg im of course going to let the person know.I think a lot of people already answered it, it looks possibly dead to me..
If you posted a thread about a chicken who is sick, and the chicken also has awful poop. people WILL point out the poop aswell. Their going to point out whatever they see, like i said before, it would be smart to inform people beforehand because of course we will tell you there is a crack, im sorry people are focusing on it, but their trying to give you information. 0 people are offended, their trying to help!Oh my gosh why do you even care so much about a crack? I was asking about the blood ring and so far everybody has been focused on crack instead of the blood ring.
