Why does time go by so slowly? Eggs are arriving!

Ah, good point. They're probably not here, either. *sigh* My chickens need to hurry and get on laying more eggs before I get a "real" incubator again!

Naw, I only have 5 chickens old enough to lay and prices are ridiculous as it is (electricity jumped double this month

). This is just a hobby/fun thing for me so I haven't bothered putting a light on them. They're more pets than anything, anyway so I just piss and moan about it and get excited when I get even one a day!

I just talked to a farmer yesterday that sells eating eggs for $2/flat so I'm hoping I can buy some to hatch from him, too.

Just to test out the new `bator, of course...

The girls are laying very well, Jared. Hopefully,they'll keep it up for you. Smoky and Dusty's eggs are up to a med size now, so very hatchable. Skye is laying again after her molt.

So youngster (my YOUNGER brother will be 43 on March 2) I can't remember if you use a bread machine or make your dough by hand. I have a beer pizza dough recipe for my machine. But of course you are now more than talented enough to make it by hand as well. It has a nice sour dough kind of taste to it.
I'm beyond impatient because I am no longer working at the school that had a 'bator. I either have to buy my own or find one to borrow from somewhere else. I have a chance to order chicks from Ideal with someone local but I think it's too soon and way too cold. Besides Ideal is out of two of the three breeds I'd be interested in getting. I will have to live vicariously through plreef hatching some of my eggs instead. Sigh. I'm longing for some new chickies!!

I'll get it posted tomorrow night. It's nighty-night time here on the rainy east coast! Had the day off today because of the weather but that will make tomorrow all the more difficult.
