Why ducks eat eggshells?

I have a female duck and she is eating eggshells since 1 week. I don't know what happened to her.

I agree. Best to offer oyster shell free choice in a separate dish. Make this dish available 24/7.

No she is not an egg eater , actually when i making an omelette in Morning , she hear the sound of cracking an egg , and then she wants to eat an eggshells

Oh..Possibly? But eating eggs at a week old? I thought the Ducks are with chickens and they eat the egg shells She tosses to them?
