My hen Gurty (short for gurtrude) is about 8 months old and her comb folded over, overnight, at about 6 months. Anyone have any ideas what causes that? Is it too big to stand up?

And any ideas exactly what breed she is? I was told she's a Columbian Wyandotte, but her comb is straight.

She looks like a light sussex to me. The floppy comb is nothing to worry about.

Not a Brahma; they have feathered feet

Flopped combs are just fine unless it is an exhibition bird, which, going by the fact that you aren't sure of her breed, I assume she is not

I have a Black Sex-Link hen who has a floppy comb. I think they're formally called "thumb-print combs".
I think it's because of the size or maybe genetics? Maybe the flopping overnight has something to do with her starting to lay (at 6 months old?)
Anyway, too me she looks like a Columbian Plymouth Rock.
