Why I love my silkie

Wow that's great to hear. Ours are approaching 9 weeks and admittedly still a little ugly and a bit skittish, but I look forward to their adulthood. Stories like this help!

here she is.....don't mind her trimmed topknot (she can't see otherwise). Such a good hen, just turned 2 and this is her 2nd fostering. there are 4 chicks total, the brassyback hen killed one, and one didn't make it for some reason. So, 4 little peeps for her to take care of.

I got her from a breeder here in NH, at a show. NEVER got the persons name (well, didn't write it down and I have no clue).

I really like her a lot, and she is put together nicely so here's hoping I get some nice babies out of her.
 
I moved her tonight to a big (2x4) crate, and she settled right in. the little ones are doing great, eating up a storm. Oh yeah, they love to climb her. So cute!
