My brother was over here helping me with my a/c and a blue truck pulls up in front of my gate on the front road. It's getting fairly dark and this fellow asks if I have any hens for sale, I said yes, but it's little late isn't it? He didn't speak much English so my brother came down from the roof to translate and this guy is talking so fast I just couldn't follow him and it wasn't local Spanish.
So my brother gets this really odd look on his face and I could tell he was having a hard time keeping a straight face and he turns around and says "This guy needs some hens because he has a rooster and no hens and the rooster is mating his wife's Chihuahua and she's going to kill the rooster if he doesn't come home with hens and the feedstore is closed."

Welllllll okey dokey then,, lol we walked around and he's telling my brother, who knows beans about chickens, that he wants a medium sized hen, not a really big one, or a really small one, but one that will be medium sized. I'm pointing out hens and for some reason he looks up and sees the tree chickens. He points out a couple of hens up there and says he wants them!! I said he'll have to wait until tomorrow then when they come down. I'm not sure how but he convinced my brother to help him get the tree hens down. He says they will be safer in his trees than in his coop. So he took two and he's coming back tomorrow for a couple more.

I sold some rare New Mexico Tree Chickens!!!
