All other chicks are happy. But I have one chick chirping so loud (salmon faverolle). I pick her put she stops chirping rub her head she falls asleep. As soon as I put her down she chirps, pick her up she stops, put her down she chirps. Is she sick?? Any help would help. Thanks Tisha

You may want to seperate her from the group. Be sure that she is drinking eating and pooping. Be sure to check her little butt to make sure it isn't pasted. I know...good times...

Simple solution:it want to be with you.You are its momma.
I had a baby chick that would start chirping loud when i left him alone when i opened up the cage he would follow me everywhere.

she is eating, because I can feel food in crop.

This sounds familiar to me. 'isaacearlg' was right, it just wants a momma. Same exact thing happened to me when I first hatched a few months ago, I thought something was wrong too.

I would just hold mine alot and let her sleep with me. She is now the friendliest chicken I've ever seen. She comes right up to me and lets me pet her.

yOU GUYS ARE SWEET. Thanks, I hope this is the case.

sounds much like a newborn baby human huh? heheheh
