So I have a random questing. I was watching my chickens and every-time I put a hen down the rooster would put his wing down and and it looked like he was herding them closer then he put his wing back up , then he would stop and let them run around (if that makes sense). Does anyone know why he is doing this? thanks [IMG]

That's the rooster dance! It means he is 'maturing' (wink wink). He will soon be mating them if he isn't already. It's just a rooster thing.

It a wing dance. Roosters do it as a courtship behavior and as a way of saying he's dominant.
