Why is hen laying smaller eggs?

I'm not sure which one is laying it. I have 3 RIR, 1, BO, and 1 Comet and one of them quit laying for a week then started again but now it is a small egg. I was getting 5 very large brown eggs now 4 and the small egg is about the size a bantam would lay. Anyone know what causes this to happens?
