Why is my white chicks wings go straight up and my black chicks wings are weird and uneven is it because he has not fully grew his wings yet to because of something else please help?

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

I'm not sure if it is what I think it is but there is such a thing as wing sexing. A chick who's feathers are the same in length are males and uneven feathers indicates females.

But your chicks might be too old for that now.

The wings are fine, I think they are too old for wing sexing and it is not very accurate, or nobody would be asking what sex their chicks were. You have two nice chicks, enjoy them.

The other members are right. You chick's wings are fine. The flight feathers of many chicks are uneven in length. And Mountain Peeps and drumstick diva are correct. They are too old to wing sexing. To be accurate, it needs to be done the day they hatch, and even then (depending on the breed), it's not always accurate.

We're glad you joined us!

The wings on your chicks are fine. The reason the feathers are uneven is because they are growing in.

We're glad to have you.

What you're seeing is quite normal for chicks.

The feathers will become more even as they grow in.
