Why is my baby chick breathing heavaly?

I have a 1-2 week old chick, most of the time shes moving around and eating and drinking, being a healthy chick. but tonight and other times she starts breathing really heavy.she never has pasty butt, I clean it all the time. she has food, water, a heat lamp, and we thought maybe she was to hot, so we have shade in her habibitat, and heat. she is very healthy, I just cant figure out why shes breathing like that. please help and tell me as soon as possible! im really worried about her. I don't know whats going on.

She may be too hot. Why are you cleaning the butt if it is not poopy? Too much handling may be stressing her or may even have caused an injury. The way to make friends with a chick is to wait for them to come to you, or entice them to come.

I meant whenever she has pasty butt, I clean it, so she really never has it. we made it cooler but she is still breathing like it. we don't handle her to much at all.
