why is my broccoli turning red?

I'm growing broccoli for the first time and the leaves are starting to turn red. I have read somewhere that they will do that in the cold but I'm in Florida and it is a steady 85 to 90 degrees here. they get water at 10 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. everyday and have mostly full sun. They are not turning yellow like they are burned though. should I add some compost Or fertilizer?

Which leaves are turning red? I did a quick Google and a few places say the lower leaves turn red when they're used up. Just pinch off.

it is the bottom leaves but my broccoli haven't even started growing heads yet.I'm going to try to upload a picture of it
