We have one very broody hen who doesn't come out of the coop unless we make her. She has been broody once before and is very persistent with her brooding. When we make her leave the coop to eat and drink, she immediately runs to a clean plastic bowl shaped garbage lid that our duck Tiny uses as a swimming pool. It got muddy and gross so we flipped it over recently. Now she tries to scratch in a small orange bowl that I give them treats in sometimes. Does anyone have a similar broody hen or know why she does this?
