It does sound like she imprinted on you. Birds can do that so easily. This article explains it.

It probably started when she was young with her previous owner, because as far as I know they don't start doing that when they are older, but maybe I am wrong. Hopefully things will start to shift when the flock is established.

It sounds like someone who couldn't care for them probably dropped them off near your house. I do feel that is a barbaric practice, but I guess this time it worked out in the birds favor.
