Alright I just wanted to see if anyone thiugh she may have been a little smaller than normal or an average sized bird. She looks completely normal size.
No she’s not a bantam. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible but maybe difficult and I think 5 feet might be an exaggeration. But to give preference she’s probably about 10-12 inches tall I thought she would be a little more filled out.is she a bantam?
it is impossible to see scale unless you photograph her next to something, preferably another large fowl breed.
She could be 5 feet tall in that picture for all we know!!![]()
I see you didn't get my humour! No she’s not a bantam. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible but maybe difficult and I think 5 feet might be an exaggeration. But to give preference she’s probably about 10-12 inches tall I thought she would be a little more filled out.
Where are you getting 5ft chickens from? I'm in!I see you didn't get my humour!
I have seen Orps of different sizes and feather softness and profusion. The better bred birds tend to be on the floofier and heavier side, with really good breeches. Yours is a lovely colour.
I guess Hazel got good genes then. Livia is a boney frame. She'll probably fill out a bit more.
It kind of depends where you bought her.
Hatchery Orps often seem to be quite slim.
Proper Orps ought to be puffy like nobody's business.
Jurassic Park!!Where are you getting 5ft chickens from? I'm in!![]()
