She’s 6 months old and she’s not as big as expected I think she got bad genes she’s a sweetheart though.

is she a bantam?

it is impossible to see scale unless you photograph her next to something, preferably another large fowl breed.

She could be 5 feet tall in that picture for all we know!! 🤣
No she’s not a bantam. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible but maybe difficult and I think 5 feet might be an exaggeration. But to give preference she’s probably about 10-12 inches tall I thought she would be a little more filled out.

I see you didn't get my humour!

I have seen Orps of different sizes and feather softness and profusion. The better bred birds tend to be on the floofier and heavier side, with really good breeches. Yours is a lovely colour.

She'll probably fill out a bit more.
It kind of depends where you bought her.
Hatchery Orps often seem to be quite slim.
Proper Orps ought to be puffy like nobody's business.
I guess Hazel got good genes then. Livia is a boney frame.
The buff above looks fine. There is always an oddball. If you post p8cs of her next to another chicken, preferably another buff, we can tell better.
