why is my chick walking like this ??? please answer

I used thin but stiff card stock on the bottom and put the tape right on top of his toes, sticking the tape to the cardboard between the toes. It fell off on it's own after 3 days but that was long enough for mine.

well he hasnt got crooked toes (curled toes) i think hes got crooked feet if thats possible ?

waaay hes getting a tiny bit stronger on his legs now the bendy part of his leg that he was walking on is off the floor about half a cm but its progress
