why is my chicken soo mad?

OK so my chicken is a rir and out of nowhere she will puff up and squal at our other chicken!!! she would lay on her egg for two to 4hours!! She puffs up at our 1 other chicken when she gets near her while nesting or walking around, but they are like the only other chickens they have ever saw.... oh yah what does broody mean????

* My girl started getting vocal and I figured she's ready to lay. So I've been giving her chicken egg shells and not a peep since. ;-) *
