Why is my chickens egg purplish brownish colored?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering why one of my chickens layed a brownish purplish egg?
I found it in my coop today and thought it was strange because none of my chickens have ever layed a egg like that before
And I have had them for a long time and nothing has ever happened like that before.

Is it possible that a hen as not been laying all this time and now has started? It will be interesting to see if you get more eggs of the same.

sometimes at the beginning or end of a laying cycle egg color will change somewhat.

I am not sure if she just started. Yes, I think it would be cool too keep getting eggs like that!!!!
BTW I am not sure what chicken layed the egg.

What breeds do you have?

1 Easter Egger, 2 Barred rocks, 1 Red star, 1 Australorp, 1 Delaware, 1 Buff orpington, 1 White Plymouth rock, and 2 Light Brahmas.

My Brahma lays brown eggs with a purplish/pinkish tint with some dark speckles. They are so pretty!

I looked at the egg right now it has a purple line going around the middle.
it has a light purple color.
