I have 9 hens and one of the has been attacking me and biting me a lot lately. Whenever I go into the coop, There she is... running at me trying to bite me. I nudge her away so she will not bite me, But then she comes back to fly at me, why is she doing this?!?! Is she injured?!?! Are the other birds hurting, or "bullying" her?!?!......(She does have food and water)

she was also standing on one leg when I left not sure if this means anything

She is not a broody, she has not even started to lay, I know she is a girl, she does not have a big comb yet, and she is at the bottom of the pecking order i think

First of all are you 100 % sure she is a hen ? She is trying to dominate you - don't let her get away with it. Force her firmly to the ground with both hands. Hold her there until she stops struggling. Keep it up until she gives up. You are bigger than her and can accomplish this.
Yes, this is what I did and to KEEP me at the top, I firmly 'peck' them by poking them on the head like actual chickens do to let them know I'm still at top, and I push them to the ground like you said if they start trying to dominate me, but luckily my pullets have learned I'm the boss and haven't tried to take me over.

I have a hen doing the same thing. She used to be my friendliest, but then she established her dominance on the rest of my gals and now is attempting it on me. I use the pushing her to the ground method to establish myself as boss and it works for about three days and then we need to have the lesson all over again! She's my crazy Gertie!

Is it a rhode island red or a red breed perhaps? Usually the red ones can be aggressive. People have told me their rhode island reds are aggressive and one of my red sex links were aggressive with me once. one time my red sex link was attacking me and I kicked her away and I must of hurt her because she ran away and didn't bother me or anyone else after that, she probably took it that humans were dominant and she was pretty skittish after that but a day later she warmed up to me and now she is really friendly. I just pick her up and hold her when I want. She is one of my favorite chickens.
