Why is my muscovey hen not laying eggs ?

i have a pair of muscoveys and the duck hasnt laid a single egg this year . I got them back in november . The female has missing feathers missing on the back of her head where it looks like the male has mounted her . I have looked high in low in the goose/duck yard but havent found a single egg . Although i found the duck last night sitting in the old gooses nest .

Any suggestions ?

Do they range at all? Is it possible she's laying and something (like a snake) is eating the egg brfore you can find it?

she ranges but only while im out there . There isnt any place for her to lay out in the yard but in the yard there are some cages in the back of the barn where i thought she may haved laid but moved everything and havent found an egg . No snakes here iether

Have you checked everywhere? Maybe you just haven't found them yet.
