I hatched three easter egger hens about mid winter. They stayed inside most their lives and went outside with our Cali whites that are about the same age as them. We found out very quickly that the whites don't like them. The he in question did get injured in the tail area but it didn't look that bad and the outside injury is healed just fine. But as she grew we realized that unlike her two siblings, she never again raised her tail. We looked to see why and saw nothing wrong. But when I tried to lift the tail to the normal position not only did it refuse to move but it seemed to cause her discomfort. What could have caused that??
