Why is there no hard shell?

This is the second time one of the chickens laid what feels like a water balloon. What causes this? I assume I toss the egg.

Ok I just googled and I'm guessing the insane monsoon storm we had last night thru that chicken off

lack in Calcium maybe? Stress and sometimes a defective gland or illness can cause this too. Good luck
