All of my other birds (aside from the silkie) have had actual feathers in their tails. This is just like super long down feathers or something. It’s really weird.Because it’s still a baby. Chickens take a while to fully feather and fill out. They’re not fully feathered until at least 8 weeks, possibly even longer. And then they’ll look scrawny for a while yet. Until probably a year.
