If you have been reading my other threads then you have probably heard of Blaze. The one who pecks other chicks. Because my chicks had pasty butt I had to be treating them and they don’t like it. So when I come the crowd in a corner so that I can’t get the chic k I want to treat. Today I went down to check on them and they all huddled in a corner, except for Blaze. He/she seemed to just be looking around standing tall instead of crowding in the corner like the others. Is this normal? Is Blaze actually a roo and is looking out fo them by staying alert while they are all hiding? Is this unnatural and something is wrong? Does he.she just not get along with the flock so he/she doesn’t hide with them? Am I overreacting? I really want to know the truth about why Blaze is acting this way.

I would be taking more notice of the crowding ones.

Could be they're crowding under the lamp because they're cold...or crowding away from the lamp because they're too warm.

Can you get some pictures?
I will get pics asap but first I need to finish my schoolwork :] They crowd in a corner because if I try and grab they from a spot that I stand at because I can reach almost everywhere, the heat lamp is in my way. They huddle in a corner that isn’t directly under the heat lamp but, the heat lamp is in my way so it still works until I come to that corner then, they run away because when I stand at that corner I can’t reach them anywhere else.
