Hi I bought four ducks about two months ago, and at that time it was too cold that i did not let them inside water and only allowed to go their beak in the water by watching drinker designs from BYC but yesterday i tried them to put in a tub water to swim they got scared and just ran away from tub water, then later they only dipped their beaks in it but don't swim, i am very confused have they forgot their swimming ability?

if you put them in the water, they will swim, but remember down absorbs water and a tired duckling can become waterlogged.

Be sure they can get out by themselves and do not leave them unattended...

Make sure they can get in ad out on their own and eventually they will figure it out. Ducks don't handle sudden change very well. You probably just scared them.
