Odd that only one of my for month olds has no start of a comb growing. She's a Golden Laced Wyndotte and beautiful in every way. I just find it odd she's got no comb... see...

All the other breeds I got (BO, Barred Rock, and Welsummer) have the start of combs. Is it a breed thing or what? Any ideas? Thanks! Oh, and I'm stroking her neck to keep her calm for the picture, not stangling my little girl! hehe

We have two Gold and one Blue Laced Red that look exactly like that....just sure they are girls...the boys all have combs forming....think it is a breed thing,

Some pullets have very flat combs until just before they start to lay. She does have one, it's just not developing yet. No worries, it will.

Thanks all. Wasn't too worried, but all the other girls were teasing her about her lack of comb... hehe. Even the Buff Orpington who's a week younger is developing one. The shame! And yes, let's hope they're all hens!
