I have 8 chicks 10 - 14 weeks old ,all pullets, 2 BR , 2GC ,2 BO, & 2 bantam crosses and 1 OEGB roo all but 1 BR and 1 BO don't seem to have grown their tails in yet , the other six all have nice tails .
No one is picking on these two so what could be the reson for this ?
they do not have lice ,or mites , thet get a very good diet ,w lots of fresh friut and veggies and are allowed to free range about four hours a day

Sometimes the reason for slow feathering is because they are cockerels. But sometimes it's just because chicks develop at their own rate. I had a late bloomer too. She caught up. Since you've already checked for lice and mites, as long as they are eating and drinking and acting normally, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just continue to keep an eye on them.
