Thanks again to all of you who share what you know with those of us who know so little.
My Australorps are just over a week & a half & are so cute! I was amazed at how fast their tail feathers have started to come in. Which leads to my question: of my 14 chicks, 12 have beginning tail feathers about 1" long. 1 is quarantined (no tail feathers due to picking/bleeding), and 1 has the same round, fuzzy bum he/she came with.
Is there something wrong with the chick who has no tail feathers started? I checked her this morning, and it doesn't look like anyone has picked on her. I'm just worried that she will be the next picking victim.
Thanks again for any insight you might have!
