Well I don't work outside the house. But it will be a cold day in h#$% when all the chores are up to just me. I am not a slave. I have just a couple of things that I do outside the home. One Sat a month I go to a ladies meeting. The last time I went I told my hubby in detail that I wanted the kitchen clean when I got home (dishes, countertops, trash out etc.) I get home and the only thing done is the dishwasher was loaded. UGH. I just wasn't' in the mood to chew on them.Yet I still felt like yep they sure can't do anything nice to help me out. But men here's the deal we ask for those smaller chores to be done so we can keep up on the things that need extra scrubbing like the floors, showers, and toilets. The second reason we moms do this is so that dad can share in being the one that doles out the chores and disciplines the kids. I want to be able to do the positive parts of parenting as well and not just be thought of as the nag (and that is the way teens see it).
My hubby helps with dinner a few nights a week. He likes to cook with me. But that is the extent of any sort of housework he does. If he ever pitches in he cleans the computer desk and really that is all I want out of him is a once a month type of thing. He does a great job of taking care of our property and I am so thankful for that.
