Why rat traps are uselss for rats

Yeah, I'm hoping our egg numbers go up. The suckers were rolling them out of the nests into their holes!!!

I'll take a cute little pet rat any day over a wild thing they call a "rat". Our cat's wont touch them! Although, we had one who would get one or two a month, but as a spayed feral release, she disappeared and hasn't returned. She was good at what she did.

My cat would quite happily sort thr rats out but unfortunatly our rhodie hens will not tolerate her anywhere near them and since they live under the hen house its a little difficult. At least they know a predator when they see one. I hear about cats killing chickens but to be honest i think my cats more affraid of the chickens then the other way round. she obviously aint the big hard cat she thinks she is lol.
I'm pretty sure the little buggers are stealing a few of our eggs, there seems to be a little shortage at the moment, not sure could be the cold weather tho. Oh well i'll sit outside the hut and wait for them if i have to.
