My mother in law took the kids to see Santa Thursday. Friday one started to get gunky eyes, Saturday another. Now it's Christmas and I think my kids all have pink eye.

That is not what I was expecting Santa to give them this year, coal would have been better. At least we could have grilled....

You know what's weird? You are the 2nd person I've heard from whose kids came down with pinkeye this Christmas! The other person was out here in California, though.... hmmm, wonder if the virus that causes it is more prevalent during the winter?

Awwww...not fun for you or the little ones!

Last week both of my grand daughters had it. They are in Tenn.
I think all kinds of things get passed around when people are all crowded together in the malls and stores.

Can you imagine how many germs are on Santa's suit?
Merry Christmas!

They stood in line for over an hour to see Santa, so I'm sure there were plenty of germs in that line, lol. The oldest one has it the worse, the 2 little ones eyes are just a teeny bit gooey. I guess it could have been worse and they could have came home with bubonic plague or something, but still. I think they will write letters to Santa next year instead.

Thanks! I still have the eye drops from when my Evelyn got it over the summer. They gave each of the kids a prescription for the same thing, it only took less than a bottle to treat all three last time. I opened my second, still have one more sealed bottle so I'm set for the next round still. I'll try that though if they manage to get it again... I've never had pink eye, and they've managed to get it twice now, within 6 months.

Speedy healings! I used eyebright and goldenseal tea when dd picked up pinkeye at preschool. She was kind enough to share it with me and her little brother, lol.

I am embarrassed to say but:

One year when K-mart did photos (this was before the year round booth) I dressed up all 3 boys, one being still a baby, and we waited in line for what seemed like hours. While we were waiting, I noticed the oldest must have gotten a mosquito bite on his neck. By the time we finally took pictures and left he had gotten a couple more bites. I was wondering what K-Mart had that was full of mosquito water..... Until I took them home and got them out of their dress up clothes.

We gave everyone at k-mart chicken pox....lol

oooops!

One of our warehouse guys - the supervisor, actually - reported his wife had pinkeye. After she'd had it about 3 days. Miraculously, only one other warehouse employee suffered from it... thus far - this was 2 weeks ago.
